Hunter Breeding Championship - Royal Meath Perpetual Trophy and 100 Euro. Reserve 50Euro . FIrst and second in classes 165 to 170 to qualify.

Irish Draught - Perpetual Trophy for the best Irish Draught in this section. First and Second placed in classes 165 to 170 to qualify. No cash prize for this category.

HORSES - Opening Notes

Your safety as an exhibitor at our show is very important to us. We ask for your co-
operation in ensuring there is a clear way for emergency vehicles all the way around the
show field. Parking restrictions will be in place on the show day, please respect the
instructions of our stewards.

All timings are approximate. Judging begins at 9.30am sharp, with the first class in each ring, for all sections, except the working hunter horses starting at 10.30.

The classes in each section run consecutively, so please check the running order and progression of the classes in any section entered.

The rings and estimated timings may be subject to change. Please check social media postings - Royal Meath Show, for confirmation of Rings, and approximate times closer to the date.

Competitors to print their own numbers in advance. Please note your class number and entry number.

All Entries MUST be accompanied with Animals Passport Number.
RULES

  • All horses must give a valid passport as required by the Department of
  • Agriculture.
  • All horses and ponies that are competing in the rescue class must have proof of neglect.
  • All horses and ponies must be led and not left unattended.
  • Please keep the rear ramp of your trailer up when you are not with your trailer
  • All riding helmets and back protectors must conform to the BHS standards.
  • Stewards will observe and inspect tack. Unsafe tack will result in disqualification from a class.
  • Judges’ decision is final.
  • Classes may be amalgamated if there are less than 3 entries per class.
  • Vouchers may be given in lieu of  any prize money. Prizes will be subject to a 5% levy by Irish Shows Association.
  • Entry fees will Not be Refunded in case when entries are not sent forward for competition.
  • Entry fees will Not be Refunded in case of disqualification from competition for failure to comply with the regulations

                    


ALL MONIES MUST BE PAID WITH ENTRY ENTRY ONLINE OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please check that your entry has gone through and payment has been taken. Confirmation of entry will inform you of your competitor number for each class. 

Please ensure that you arrive at the showground with your COMPETITOR NUMBER and its corresponding CLASS NUMBER  written or printed on paper or card, with string or safety pins to attach it to the rider.

Class 165: Hunter Type Brood Mare stinted or with Foal at foot. Special prize for best Irish Draught
Class 166: Best Hunter Type Foal -Colt / Filly produce of mare in class 165, Special prize for best Irish Draught.
Class 168: Hunter Type Yearling and 2 Year old / Filly / Colt/ Gelding. Special prize for best Irish Draught.
Class 170: 3 year old Filly/ Colt/ Gelding. Special Prize for Best Irish Draught
